Delegate James E. Edmunds II has been awarded the coveted Legislator of the Year Award from the Virginia Association of Soil and Water Conservation Districts at the Associations’ annual meeting held in Roanoke December 7-9, 2014.

This award was presented to Delegate Edmunds in recognition of his work during the 2014 General Assembly to approve highway signage announcing entry into a soil and water district.

President of the Association, Lou Ann Wallace, expressed her sincere appreciation to Delegate Edmunds in shepherding these negotiations through the General Assembly.

Delegate Edmunds stated, “I am proud to accept this award and look forward to helping with any soil or water issue in the coming session.”

First elected in 2008, Delegate Edmunds is serving his third term representing the 60th District of Halifax, Charlotte, Prince Edward and a portion of Campbell Counties in the Virginia General Assembly.
