Of Local Interest
The building was flooded this week with visitors and many of them were from our district! On Wednesday Reverend Frank Carr delivered the opening prayer for the House of Delegates and also represented the American Legion. I had the privilege of recognizing the Halifax County Dixie Ponytails Softball Team during assembly on Wednesday. I was very pleased that the players and their parents were able to be here for their well-deserved recognition. I met with, Dr. Jacqueline Fogarty and Dr. William Bell of Halifax on behalf of the Medical Society of Virginia. In addition I met with, Vickie Wright, Nettie Simon-Owens and Mark Estes, all of Halifax County and Larry Clark of Charlotte County. Shannon Salley of Halifax and Richard Altice of Prince Edward also visited the office.
Quote of the Day:
"Watch your thoughts, for they become words. Watch your words, for they become actions. Watch your actions, for they become habits. Watch your habits, for they become your character. And watch your character, for it becomes your destiny. What we think, we become." -Margaret Thatcher
