Halifax
Delegate James E. Edmunds II has received the endorsement of Virginia Farm Bureau Federation AgPAC, the organization's political action committee, for the 60th District seat in the Virginia House of Delegates. Delegate Edmunds is among 115 candidates that Virginia Farm Bureau Federation AgPAC has endorsed for the 2015 campaign. Endorsements were made based on the recommendations of local committees of farmers.

When notified of his endorsement, Delegate Edmunds stated "I am honored to receive this endorsement from the Virginia Farm Bureau for the fourth consecutive time. "As everyone who knows me knows, I am a full-time farmer and face the same challenges other farmers face daily. I am honored to be in a position within the Virginia House of Delegates to be able to find solutions to overcome some of those obstacles. I sincerely appreciate this endorsement." He continued, "Rural Virginia will continue to face difficult issues with the continued growth of Northern Virginia and Tidewater. It is imperative to work very closely with Virginia Farm Bureau representatives during General Assembly session when issues affecting agriculture or forestry come up."

"We believe each of the endorsed candidates will help agriculture and forestry maintain its vitality as the No. 1 industry in Virginia", stated Wayne F. Pryor, chairman of VFBF AgPAC and Virginia Farm Bureau President. Each of those 115 candidates has demonstrated a clear understanding of the needs and challenges farmers are facing and/or have proven their support through their favorable voting records while holding positions in the General Assembly. We believe these candidates will help agriculture and forestry maintain its vitality as the number one industry in Virginia."

The non-partisan Virginia AgPAC was created by Virginia Farm Bureau in 1999 and employs in-kind contributions and endorsements to support candidates who can best support agriculture and Farm Bureau issues. A full list of candidates endorsed by the committee can be viewed online at VaFarmBureau.org.

With nearly 150,000 members in 88 county Farm Bureaus, VFBF is Virginia's largest farmers' advocacy group.
